Charlotte NC Weather - A Storm Through The Eyes Of A Photographer

If you woke up with out power this morning, you're not alone. The crews at Duke Power are getting their fill of work today as they hustle around Charlotte to correct the outage caused by the nasty storm that passed through last night. Currently, stop lights are still out, parts of 485 are still blocked off due to down power lines lingering across the normally busy interstate, and a few business are depending on back up generators to salvage the morning and make for a productive business day.

Use The Weather As Your Photographic Advantage

Now todays blog is not all about doom and gloom. There are plenty of sections around Charlotte that remained unaffected by last nights rain and wind storm. What we really want to highlight
are storms in the perspective of a photographer.

The best part about storms are the amazing clouds that formed a dramatic sky. This creates a customized background to any portrait. Think about it, how important is the weather for portraiture? Charlotte Image Photography has learned with our decade of experience that the weather is a way to customize a portrait to make a truly unique piece for your home.

The next time you see a storm pass by, take a moment to pause and notice the shape and textures of the clouds. If they are intriguing, take the kids outside for a little play time and bring your camera along!

Happy Shooting!
